Welcome to Pine Hills

About Your Neighborhood Association:

Pine Hills has waged an on-going battle to preserve our R-3 single-family integrity in both the City of Atlanta & R-85 zoning in DeKalb County while recognizing that the City must grow.

Developers are constantly seeking higher density zonings. PHNA confronts developmental issues that would harm us PHNA has had costly legal battles, and continuous legal expenses to issue covenants and codes that are monitored and are adhered to.

In the past, packed buses have traveled to meetings in the City and DeKalb County and have written letters to our city and county representatives. PHNA has retained a lawyer many times to represent our causes. Some neighbors have personally absorbed the expenses when funds were not there from lack of membership.

PHNA has a representative on the NPU Board (Neighborhood Planning Unit) - 2 meetings per month. This Board makes findings and recommendations available to the City of Atlanta for decisions affecting our neighborhoods in Buckhead. Members who have access to the newly revised web site at www.mypinehills.org can get updates on zoning issues, Security Alerts, newsletters / informational Flyers
