About Your Neighborhood Association
The Pine Hills Neighborhood Association (PHNA) comprises a group of your dedicated
neighbors, devoted to preserving the security and quality of life that has made Pine
Hills one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Atlanta. Among the issues that the
PHNA handles:
- Preserving the neighborhood's single-family zoning (called “R-3” zoning in the City
of Atlanta and “R-85” in DeKalb County)
- Ensuring Pine Hills' security through a strong relationship with the Atlanta Police
Department and privately sponsored security patrols
- Monitoring changes in traffic patterns that will affect Pine Hills residents, such
as the
I-85/GA400 interchange project - Staying abreast of developments that affect Atlanta Public Schools, including potential
redistricting decisions
- Maintaining our local park, Shady Valley Park, through relationships with the City
of Atlanta
- Communicating neighborhood events and important information that affects Pine Hills
and its residents
- Recording the history of Pine Hills
- Helping to develop a sense of community through special events, such as the annual
Yard Sale and Halloween parties
